The Lion and the Boar
On a hot summer day, a Lion and a Boar came to a small spring at the same time. Both were very thirsty and started to argue about who should drink first. Their anger quickly turned into a fierce fight.
But just as they stopped for a moment to catch their breath, they saw vultures circling overhead, waiting to feast on whoever died first.
Realizing the danger, the Lion said, “Why don’t we stop fighting? It’s better to be friends than to become food for those birds.”
Moral: Sometimes enemies need each other more than they think.
