The Ass and the Old Shepherd
An old Shepherd was dying and told his Ass, “I’ve sold you to a coal merchant.”
The Ass said, “It doesn’t matter. As long as I carry loads and get beaten, my life won’t change.”
Moral: For those at the bottom, a new boss rarely means a better life.
