The Ass and the Wolf
An Ass pretended to be lame when he saw a Wolf. “Please don’t eat me,” he begged. “I stepped on a thorn. Pull it out first, then I’ll be a better meal.”
As the Wolf leaned in to help, the Ass kicked him and ran away.
The Wolf groaned, “That’s what I get for listening to an Ass.”
Moral: Don’t be fooled by those who stall with sweet words—they may have tricks planned.
