The Ass and His Masters

An Ass had three different masters: a gardener, a potter, and a tanner.

With the gardener, he had to carry heavy loads. With the potter, the loads were even heavier.

Finally, the tanner bought him. The Ass cried, “Things keep getting worse!”

Moral: A bad situation can always get worse—don’t complain before you see what’s next.
