An Ass and a Fox teamed up for safety in the forest. They met a Lion.

The Fox tricked the Ass into falling into a pit so the Lion wouldn’t hurt him. But once the Ass was trapped, the Lion ate the Fox first—and then the Ass.

Moral: Don’t trust traitors—they’ll be betrayed too.
