The Shepherd and the Sea
A Shepherd lived near the shore and saw how calm and beautiful the sea looked. He thought, “I could become rich if I start trading by ship!”
He sold all his sheep, bought a boat full of dates, and set sail.
But during his first trip, a huge storm came and sank everything. He barely escaped with his life.
Later, when he saw the sea looking peaceful again, he said, “That sea just wants more dates—it’s pretending to be calm.”
Moral: Don’t be fooled by appearances, especially after being burned once.
