The Two Travelers and the Axe
Two men were walking when one of them found an axe lying on the path.
He said, “Look, I found an axe!”
The other replied, “You mean we found it.”
Later, the owner of the axe showed up. The man who found it said, “We’re in trouble!”
The other replied, “No, you are in trouble. Remember—you said you found it.”
Moral: If you claim a prize alone, don’t expect help with the consequences.
