The Farmer and His Sons
A Farmer, near death, called his sons to his bed. “My sons,” he said, “I am about to die. But there is treasure buried in the vineyard. Dig deeply, and you’ll find it.”
After he died, the sons dug the vineyard thoroughly—but found no treasure. However, their hard work made the vines grow better than ever, and they had a rich harvest.
Moral: Hard work is itself a hidden treasure.
