The Buffoon and the Countryman

At a festival, a Buffoon came on stage and made the crowd laugh with silly sounds. He challenged anyone to do better.

A Countryman said he could imitate a pig better. The crowd booed.

Then he pulled a real pig from under his cloak and pinched it—making it squeal. The crowd realized they’d been fooled by the Buffoon’s act.

Moral: Sometimes truth is laughed at until it proves itself.
