The Old Hound
An old Hound who had once been a great hunter chased after a wild boar. He caught the boar, but his teeth were weak, and the animal escaped.
His master was angry and scolded him.
The Hound replied, “Don’t blame me—it’s age, not laziness. I did my best with what strength I have left.”
Moral: Respect past service, even if current strength has faded.
