The Monkey and the Dolphin
A Monkey fell off a ship and was saved by a Dolphin.
As they swam, the Dolphin asked, “Are you an important citizen of your city?”
The Monkey said, “Oh yes, very important!”
Then he added, “In fact, Piraeus is a close friend of mine.”
The Dolphin laughed and said, “Piraeus is the port of Athens—not a person!”
Realizing the Monkey was a liar, the Dolphin left him to drown.
Moral: Lying will get you nowhere, especially when you're in trouble.
