The Charcoal-Burner and the Fuller

A Charcoal-Burner lived alone. One day, a Fuller (someone who cleans and whitens cloth) asked to move in with him.

The Charcoal-Burner said, “That won’t work. Your job is to make things white, and mine makes everything black. We’d ruin each other.”

Moral: People with opposite habits make poor companions.
