The Lion and the Dolphin

A Lion once walked by the shore and saw a Dolphin jump from the waves. The Lion said, “You’re the king of the sea, and I’m the king of the land. Let’s become allies!”

The Dolphin agreed. Later, the Lion got into a fight with a wild bull and called the Dolphin to help.

But the Dolphin couldn’t leave the water. The Lion shouted, “You’re a traitor!”

The Dolphin calmly replied, “Don’t blame me. It’s not my fault that I cannot walk on land.”

Moral: Don’t expect help from someone who is unable to give it, even if they want to.
