The Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts

A war broke out between the Birds and the Beasts. The Bat didn’t want to choose sides, so he waited.

When the Beasts were winning, he joined them. But when the Birds began to win, he switched over.

Eventually, both sides saw he was untrustworthy and rejected him.

Now, the Bat hides during the day and only comes out at night.

Moral: Those who try to please everyone often end up pleasing no one.
